What we sail and race on Windermere
Windermere Class Yachts
The 17ft Windermere Class Yachts were first raced in 1904, and still maintain an active and competitive fleet today. The sight of these graceful yachts amongst the Lakes scenery is one of the things that makes sailing on Windermere so rewarding.
The Flying Fifteen is a twenty foot 2 person keelboat, designed to be sailed by a wide range of crew weights. At Windermere there is a large fleet with regular and competitive racing.

Dinghy Handicap Racing
Alongside the regular races for GP14s we hold handicap races for dinghies, so members can sail any type of dinghy they like. Among those we have we have Laser, Solo, Phantom, various RS’s & Devoti’s.
We have a growing fleet of Cruisers which race regularly on Saturdays and Sundays. These are sailed on a PY handicap. All types of sailing cruisers are welcome.
