RWYC welcome

UPDATE FROM THE COMMODORE

Dear Members

I hope you’ve noticed the newly-purchased Wayfarer dinghy in the boatpark, which makes it possible for the Club to offer a varied programme of Adult Training – see the RWYC Website for details. We’ve also replaced the old Optibats with RS Teras  –  these are already popular with the Youth Squad and will make the Summer Junior Sailing Programme more distinctive. Another piece of good news is that, thanks to efforts by Ian Shirra, the Club has been awarded £500 by United Utilities to spend on the Youth Squad.

Some other things I’d like to draw your attention to:

CHILDREN IN THE BAR AREA

Following the recommendation in the recent Planning Report, well-behaved children under the age of 18 are now allowed in all of the bar area. However they should still go to the hatch rather than the bar to buy drinks etc.

SPANISH EVENING and SUMMER BALL

These events on Saturday 15th June and 22nd June respectively are selling out fast, so I urge you to book your places now. Two fun evenings with Spanish guitar music, close-up magic, excellent food and wines….

NEW WINE LIST!

The bar has an exciting new Wine List featuring wines from around the world. Call in at the Club to sample the wines, or visit the Website to view the complete list.
