The Demise of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Following careful consideration of the situation by the Flag and Honorary Officers of the club, and taking into account official guidance offered by the Cabinet Office and in view of the lead taken by many sporting organizations across the country, the decision has been made to respectfully postpone all organised racing on Saturday and the Commodore’s Fun Day on Sunday.  The Sailing Committee will consider races lost and how and when they might be re-sailed.  We aspire to reorganise the Commodore’s Fun Day.  The club will remain open during the period of national mourning and members are asked to act respectfully when at the club; the club will be closed during the day and evening on the occasion of the State Funeral.  The club remains open to members over the coming days operating its normal service within the clubhouse where a Book of Condolence has been opened.
