Sprint Racing Sunday 30th April

Hello All

This Sunday sees the first Sunday Sprint race day of the year. I hope that you are all looking forward to it.
 

Please note that there is an amended start time for the first race,
First Race Start is 13.00.

The aim of the afternoon is to improve your starting and been aware of where you are on the racecourse. There will be no protests on the day, but this dose not mean racing rules do not apply, if you do pick up a penalty do your turns, cheating is not acceptable.

The format for the day will be as follows:

  • Course Meeting and race instructions 12.00
  • Starting sequence
    • Cruiser Fleet
    • 17ft Fleet
    • F15 Fleet
    • Dinghy fleet
  • The starting guns will be a 3,2,1 go
  • If there is a general recall you will go to the back of the cue
  • The aim is to run 8 races on a windward leeward course.

I look forward to seeing you all at the course meeting / sailing briefing at 12.00 on Sunday. There will be a prize giving for all fleets after racing in the club. There may well be a BBQ available after racing depending on the weather, news to follow on this.
