New Year wishes from the Commodore

Good Evening,

This is just a quick letter to wish you all a happy new year, if I have not seen you in person. However you saw in the new year I hope you enjoyed it.
Myself and Catharine along with the Rear Commodore and many others attended the clubs NYE event this year, it was a great night yet again.
Zoe and her team worked VERY hard to ensure we all enjoyed the evening, the food choices were delicious, DJ Craig Howarth did us proud and the chip cone after midnight just hit the spot. Myself and Zoe have had some great feedback from the event and everyone had a very enjoyable evening with a great atmosphere, we even managed a firework displayed!
New Years Day the clubs Remote Control Model Yacht group all met up for a sail, which helped with the hangovers, I must say. It was great to see a few new faces joining us, who had clearly been lucky enough to be on Santa’s good list.
I hope your plans are going well for the 2024 season, the Fixtures and Entries programme is almost signed off and ready for print. We just need members to enter their boat details onto the club website, if you cannot remember how to do this don’t panic as an email will be getting sent out from the Hon.Sailing Secretary within the next few days.

Below you will find a short message from the local RNLI branch.

That is me for now, I will hopefully see you around the club or at some of the great upcoming socials that are being put on for us.

Best wishes

John Richardson
RWYC Commodore
