Commodore’s Newsletter Update

Dear Members,

For those of you who have not recently looked at the Website,  this is a quick up-date for the start of the Social Programme for the forthcoming months.

The RWYC puts on a varied social programme during the Autumn and the Winter.  We can only do this if Members support events.  It is important that Members book in, early, via Zoe, to give the Social Committee confidence that what is being offered, is popular.  If there is not sufficient support for an event, it will have to be cancelled.

Our first Event is on Thursday, 13^th October, 2022 and is the Bryce Street Strummers, a great ukulele band.  This Group played some years ago in the Club and was a huge success.  Currently, we have only six people on the list who would like to attend.  It would be a shame to have to cancel our first event.  Why not bring along some friends?

A forthcoming event to put in your diaries is Commodore’s day on Saturday, 29^th October, 2022.  This was postponed from 18^th September 2022.  As before, there will be a Hog Roast and weather permitting:  Water Games;  Treasure Hunts;  Jenga and Connect Four.  Let us make this a great event.  As before, you will need to book on the list in the Club House or via Zoe.  

Penny and myself are looking forward to seeing you at the Royal Windermere Yacht Club.
