Club Statement on the Passing of Her Majesty the Queen

Along with the rest of the country, Realms of the Commonwealth and indeed the world, the club learned of the passing of Her Majesty earlier today.

As a club enjoying a Royal Warrant it is appropriate that we pay tribute to Her Majesty who provided inspiration to so many for so long.  Her majesty had an unrelenting sense of duty and lived a life dedicated to service.  Her majesty’s life, built on dignity, honour and achievement was an inspiration to us all.  Royal Windermere Yacht Club’s Flag and Honorary Officers and wider membership wish to pay tribute at this time.  We will of course respect the official ten days of mourning.
